Our model
At Renoval, we work within rural schools in Chilean Patagonia. We build agroecological gardens where children grow food and learn ecology through hands-on experience, and we develop the education that gives them life: teacher training, practical classes, and a unique curriculum rooted in the local environment. We test each step in one school, document it, and then support the next school so they can replicate it.
Where did we begin?
Our first project was Punto Limpio, a recycling and environmental education center that operated at the Cerro Castillo Rural Bicentennial High School starting in 2020. It was the first proof that collaboration between Renoval (Trek Relief), the school, and the community could bear fruit. Years later, the community itself took the idea beyond the school. From that initial trust, the community gardens grew.
An expanding network
In 2026 we signed a collaboration agreement with SLEP Aysén, the Local Public Education Service , which opens the door to bringing this model to schools in the ten communes of the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo region.
